  • Brooklyn Monday

Mateo. Kevin and I did a bunch of sets last night at Kiel's place while watching Monday Night Football's double dip. When I left, I couldn't stop and had to push more up on the subway platform. Check out the 12/13/10 video to see. We were really ripping up the floor. Kiel was doing some banking or some stupid thing like that so believe it or not, he didn't do any! He'll be chasing come Christmas. I've got to average about 187 per day to catch 5000 total. Our buddies in Ohio are doing 10,000 each, which is ridiculously awesome. Strong. Out.

  • December 2010

Mateo. We're up to pushups again. With a late start (December 1) we've recruited five and we're each throwing down 4000 (minimum) before the year is out. We'll see what kind of + with can get on this 20,000. I'm considering doing 5000 myself. Whoa. Some duck got in my way before a set of ten I did for today. Check it out.

  • Summer Pushups! 2009!

Mateo. I've assembled a three-some and we're going after all 50,000. By the end of July, together, we will have reached them. Seriously, what's the end of the first decade of the 21st century without a summer of pushups? It's 2009 and we've got some new players. Stay tuned for introductions.

  • He's Back to Wanting to Be Back

Mateo:  But I am back.  Grrrroowwrrr.  400+ per day is nothing.  I watch professional football.  I used to date a dancer.  I have nothing to do all day.  I made a spreadsheet!  And I'm filming it.

Ok, ok.  Richard, I'll be honest with you.  But only you.  I've been slack, lax, lazing, lost.  I've gone days where right at midnight, I drop down and do 3.  THREE.  I'm sorry man.  But I'm not far enough behind to make a loser out of myself.  I can make a winner!

    I'm good.  You're good?  Good.

Tomorrow I do 450.  And then... and THEN.  And on and on.

  • Mateo. We're three weeks in.  If on pace, we've each done over 6,000 already.  What's the hurry? you ask.

    Only 150,000!

This year's task: 25,000 pushups each between October 1st and December 31st.  And there are 6 of us.

    Check out the New Video.

In other, relevant news, Hercules called me last night and balled his eyes out while I coaxed him through the awful pain of finding a new freckle on his girlish right forearm.
